I was so excited because I actually collected Hallmark Promos for years especially the Christmas ones in the hopes of finally seeing them but what is disappointing is that when it got to February 2012 they have decided to re-screen the eight movies again, this time in a different order.
There are so many movies available out there but we get repeats of repeats and they are getting boring.
I have recently been on AMAZON.com and found movies that I've only dreamed of getting and decided to splurge and buy two Hallmark Movies - A soldier Love Story aka Meet My Mom and For The Love of Grace.
I had seen these movies on line and the promos are on YOUTUBE but I never thought I'd actually see them on Australian TV.
While I only ordered two I figure it is the price of one tv series in Australia and well worth the money.
Now that I've started, however, I don't think I'm going to be able to stop. At least they have a "wish list" attached to my Amazon account and I can just pick and choose.
What is more exciting is that I have been able to find so many things like Remington Steele, Scarecrow and Mrs King etc. Shows still not available in Australia and for that reason alone I love that we have access to purchase these kinds of things.
FOR THE LOVE OF GRACE |
EXCEPT when they cost the earth. I have been looking at getting "Castle" season 3 for quite some time but when it arrived in Australia it was $85.00 for the entire season. A joke considering "Bones" Season 6 only cost $42.00. I have downloaded every episode when it screened in the USA and will keep this great quality until the price of Castle comes down. Right now it's still $75.00 - how is it that one season of a show can cost this much? If it had come out the same week as the USA I would understand but right now in the USA the price of this season is $34.00. I'm seriously thinking of purchasing the copy from the USA and Australia misses out again. Who's fault is that?
There are still quite a few movies to come out on DVD and I shall continue to tape these and wait for them but it's fun and frankly considering what they're showing on TV right now I am more than happy to wait for the silly, soppy, not academy award winning performances but just a good wholesome sappy love story.
